It's a good overwhelming. It's amazing and exciting and incredible.
But it's still overwhelming.
I'm sitting here in a very messy apartment that I have no energy to clean and my fiancee is burning up with a fever in the other room. I have a chick flick playing on Netflix and I'm trying to remember how to write and process and ease the tension in my mind and heart.
Life is happening at such a fast rate and there have been so many moments that I've wished I could sit and write and breathe.
For my own mental clarity and long term memory, below are some of the things I'm most thankful for from the past several weeks...
(in no particular order)
...driving my sister-in-love and nephew to the airport and bidding them a tearful farewell as they took off to rejoin my brother and begin their new chapter of life in Texas
...God dropping an amazing rental house into our laps and the current craziness of picking paint colors and buying a washer & dryer and and repacking all my stuff that I'd already moved into Justin's apartment and making sure the freezer is stocked with frozen pizzas for the continual stream of awesome family members that are there painting
...all the many, many, many little wedding details
...two lovely bridal showers and a super fun bachelorette party
...several days with my Montana bridesmaid and flower girl
...the passing on into heaven of the dear elderly woman I cared for over the past six years
...our first Valentine's Day together
...quiet Sunday afternoons
...insane work days with wonderful coworkers
...brunch at our favorite restaurant, after a stroll through a random Milwaukee park
...an afternoon decorating wine bottles and creating table centerpieces with a handful of my favorite ladies
...a very quick trip across the pond to Michigan to see friends and family
...grace and forgiveness and love from my God and my fiancee
...fluffy new towels
...all kinds of new kitchen stuff (this always makes me excited!)
...beautiful new bedding
...a stress relieving run down many sidewalks and streets (must repeat soon)
So many beautiful memories and moments and gifts and relationships that I'll treasure forever and I don't want them to get lost amidst all the stress and insanity and details and planning and sickness.
Happy four weeks until our wedding!
(Enjoy the random array of pictures below...and forgive me for being too tired to organize and caption them.)
